To all supporters of the Ron Campano for Sheriff Campaign:

I would like to take this time to advise all that I am withdrawing from the 2011 race for Rensselaer County Sheriff to concentrate on my run in the 2015 election.

I am humbled by the support that I have received and would like to thank all of my supporters.
Because I am not of a political nature, this past few months has been a great learning experience for me. With that being said, I am going to concentrate my efforts for the next few years towards winning the 2015 Sheriff's election. 

With the outstanding support that I have received from family, friends and the community, I feel that I will be much better prepared for victory in 2015.

 As a lifelong resident of Rensselaer County and with my experience of over 37 years with the New York State Police, I am confident that I can implement policies and procedures that will make for a safer county, a balanced budget and a more professional department.

I ask for your continued support and I am looking forward to the
2015 election.
